Philip Gable, M.A. (4th year)
I grew up in the Dallas area and attended a small liberal arts college in southern Arkansas where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and History. I am studying the neural correlates and attentional/cognitive consequences of positive affects that differ in approach motivational intensity.

Carly Peterson (2nd year)
I was born and raised in Madison, WI, and I received my B.A. in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in May 2005. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Eddie in his lab at UW for a year and a half as an undergraduate, after which I managed his lab here for two years. I am now continuing my education as a Clinical graduate student under Eddie's supervision. My research interests focus mainly on motivation and emotion, specifically in those with mood disorders and externalizing disorders.

Raymond Serra (1st year)
I was born in Illinois and lived there until I moved to Texas in Fall 2008. I received a B.S. in Psychology from Western Illinois University in Spring, 2008. I have many research interests including Emotion and Motivation, Morality and Cognitive Dissonance, and Decision Making.



Thomas Price (1st year)
I am from Pennsylvania and I received my B.A. in Psychology from Gettysburg College in May 2008. My research interests include motivation, emotion and grounded cognition.




Undergraduate Students

Laura Gravens
I am a senior Psychology major, Neuroscience minor from California. This is my second year in the SEN lab. I hope to go from here into a graduate program using fMRI and EEG to study mental disorders. I hope to earn a Ph.D. and have a lab of my own.

Aimee Howarth
Howdy! I am a Psychology major with a Neuroscience minor. I plan to get my Masters and possibly PhD in Clinical Psychology. I hope to eventually start my own practice specializing in Eating Disorders. I would love to do research in that area as well.

Jessica Hobbs
I’m a psychology major from Garland (Dallas), Texas. I plan to go to grad school and pursue a career in relationship/ family counseling.

Andrew Tessmer
I am a Psychology major and Business minor. I am from the Woodlands, Texas. I plan on going to graduate school and eventually opening my own counseling practice focused on adolescents/teens.

Anita Lazar
I'm from the north Dallas area (Frisco). I am currently a senior, Allied Health major. I plan on attending Physician Assistant school after I graduate.

Melora Coughran
I am a member of the class of 2009, studying psychology, international studies, and neuroscience, and becoming interested in language's relationship to thought and behavior. I would like to pursue research, graduate school, and nongovernmental work in South America.

Kim Hawkins
I am from the Dallas area (Arlington) and am a junior psychology major and neuroscience minor. I plan to attend graduate school and get a degree in neuropsychology. I would like to continue my research as a professor or do research for stroke victim associations.

Carson Marston
I am a junior psychology major, neuroscience minor from Dallas. After I obtain my B.S. in Psychology, I plan on pursuing a graduate program related to the neuroscience field. I am passionate about and hope to do research in the area of the conscious mind.

Jacque Rampy
I am in my final semester at Texas A&M. I will be graduating with a Major in Biomedical Science and a Minor in Spanish. I grew up in El Paso, Texas. I will be applying to Medical School next year and I hope to begin in the Fall of 2010.
